Eric John (Easy E) Matherne, 27, a native and resident of Gheens, La., died Sunday, June 14.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald P. and Cheryl Anne C. Matherne; sister, Brandi Lynn Matherne; maternal grandmother, Emelda D. Foret and step-grandfather, Frank Foret Sr.; maternal grandfather, Larry Cavalier; and paternal grandmother, Edna H. Quick and step-grandfather, Raymond Quick.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roy Matherne.
He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church. He loved the outdoors.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, and 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday, June 18, at St. Anthony Church in Gheens. Burial will be at St. Anthony Mausoleum.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
