Ernest Deroche Sr., 80, a native of Ashland Plantation, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, December 15.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bonvillain Deroche; two sons, Ernest Deroche Jr. and wife Terri, and Dwayne Deroche and wife Sheila; one daughter, Donna Henry; one brother, Joseph Deroche; two sisters, Joyce Pitre and Rita Duplantis; six grandchildren, Scotti and Brandon Henry, Toby, Corey, Channing and Amber Deroche; and two great-grandchildren, Haleigh Henry and Cameren Deroche.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Deroche and Edna McElroy Deroche; and one brother, Gordon Deroche.
He was buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
