Ernest Joseph “Poncho” Eschette Jr., 55, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Saturday, April 9, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Eschette; mother, Marie Eschette; daughter, Alexis (Nelson Jr.) Crochet; son, Ross (Angeline Dufrene) Eschette; stepdaughter, Jessie Pierce; two grandchildren, Madalyn and Myles Crochet; brothers, Steve (Darnell) and Mark (Michelle) Eschette; and sisters, Marlene (Brad) Knight and Jill (Troy) Picou.


He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Eschette Sr.; sister, Donna Eschette; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Israel Eschette Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gautreaux.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital and Ochsner Main Campus in Jefferson.

He is buried at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
