Ernest Tucker, 88, a native of White Castle, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.
Mr. Tucker was Baptist.
He is survived by his sons, Ernest Jr. (Rosalee) and Lyndon Tucker Sr.; daughter, Tammie (David) Griffin; sister, Aldreama Reed; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Viola Tucker; brothers, Ned Tucker and Junior Lee; and grandson, Sheldon Tucker.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland. (Kennedy)
