March 27, 2013Ester Larousse Boudreaux, 100, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, March 17, 2013.
Mrs. Boudreaux was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Family Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed going to bingo and the casino with her daughters. She never met a stranger and she loved to talk to everyone.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ledet, Beverly Gautreaux, Ester (David) Willis and Theresa (Elton) LeCompte; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Boudreaux; parents, Oscar and Regina Larousse; daughter, Jeanne Carrere; brother, Edward Larousse; and sisters, Edna Wainwright and Onorine Larousse.
Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 22, and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
