Esther Boudreaux Guarisco, 94, a native of Bayou Black, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, July 17, 2011.


Mrs. Guarisco was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed cooking, caring for children and loved to pass a good time dancing and listening to music. She was a very active member in the Ladies Altar Society at Sacred Heart, Good Samaritans, Golden Age Club and AARP.


She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann Wynn, Linda (Rex) Gilley, Gail (Vincent) Dupuis and Pat (Marvin) Cavett; sister, Evelyn Morrison; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Guarisco; parents, Edmond and Lydia Boudreaux; brothers, E.J., Eber, Milton, Merlin, Alvin and Roy Boudreaux; and sisters, Rita Boudreaux, Hazel Stansbury and Hilda Wiggins.

Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
