Ethel Legendre Roger, 89, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
Mrs. Roger was a loving mother to all and her extended family. She could always be counted on for her support and guidance. She enjoyed gardening, taking family trips, playing bingo, shopping and cooking for her family. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Noland Roger; daughter, Carolyn Russell; sons, Noland Jr. and Donovan Roger; sister, Theresa Roger; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Josephine Legendre; brothers, Herbert and Eugene Sr. Legendre; and sisters, Willie Mae Boston and Marie Legendre.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church. (Thibodaux)
