Eugene (Gene) A. Luc, 84, a native of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, July 23, at 4:58 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Brock Luc; one son, Eugene Jr. and wife Cindy Luc; one daughter, Karen and husband Norman Dupre; one brother, D.J. Luc; one sister, Lena Krawcynski; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Katie Dambarino Luc; four brothers, Thomas, Lawrence, Victor and Douglas Luc; and three sisters, Florence Freeman, Rose Mae Necaise and Catherine Luc.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from United Gas Pipelines after 37 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bayou Regions Alzheimer’s Association or the Suites at Sugar Mill Point where he was an Alzheimer’s resident.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, at St. Louis Church. Entombment will be at St. Louis Mausoleum.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
