Eugene “Gene” Hamilton, 67, a native of Jeanerette, La., and a resident of Napoleonville, La., died at his home Wednesday, June 18.
He is survived by one son, Etoyi Jones of Napoleonville; two brothers, Alfred Hamilton Sr. of New Iberia, La., and Lionel Hamilton of Jeanerette; one sister, Patricia H. Caines of Napoleonville; three stepsons, Terence, Kenneth and Darryl Jones; one stepdaughter, Tiffany Rohilliard; 17 grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Almethea Hamilton; eight brothers; and two sisters.
He was a retired laborer.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday, June 28, at New Belmont Baptist Church in Labadieville, La. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Napoleonville.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
