Eugene Murphy Bonvillian Jr., 62, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, April 8, at 9:13 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Larkin Bonvillian of Arkansas; sons, Jessie Bonvillian and wife Consuela, Brad, Chad, Trent and Eugene Bonvillian III, all of Houma; daughters, Vickie Authement and husband Avery, Kellie Gordon and husband Thomas, Jamaica Chambless and Michelle Bonvillian, all of Houma; brothers, A.J., Perry, John and Kenneth Bonvillian, all of Houma; sisters, Brenda Voisin and Connie Trahan, both of Houma; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene M. Bonvillian Sr. and Louise Poiencot Bonvillian; and son, Carrol Bonvillian.

He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Houma.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
