Eugene Myles, 79, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, January 24, at 8:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Lubirda V. Myles; son, Jesse J. Myles and wife Dolly; daughters, Pamela M. Johnson and husband Charles, and Lisa Myles; brothers, Johnny Myles and wife Rosialie, and Curtis Myles and wife Lorena; sisters, Irene Holly, Barbara August, Rosalie Myles, Vivian Watkins, Druzella Williams, Rosetta Dickerson and husband Martin, and Betty Lewis; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Myles and Mathilda Lagarde Myles; grandparents, Julius Lagarde Sr., Charlotte Maryland Lagarde, Jesse Myles and Irene Thomas Myles; and step-grandmother, Dolly Myles.
He was a member of New St. John Baptist Church and was a member of Terrebonne Parish Men Day Association.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 29, at Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, at the funeral home with burial at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
