‘Crimes of the Heart’: Tragedy, laughs

Eula Mae Achee, 92, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011.
Mrs. Achee was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a retiree of Whitney National Bank in Morgan City. She was a wonderful cook and always looked forward to Sunday dinners with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Dale) Morvant; four grandchildren, Tammy (Glenn) Toups, Lisa (Steve) Russo, Kevin (Julie) Morvant and Tommy (Michelle) Morvant; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvina and Sylvester Landry; husband, Homer Achee; son, Bradley Achee; two sisters, Elmire Pierron and Ena Prestenback Ledet; and brother, Eddie Landry.
She is interred at Morgan City Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
