Eula Mae Thomas Jones, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Denver, Colo., died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Henry “Hank” Erceil Jones Sr.; sons, Michael (Debra) and Henry (Tanya) Jones, and Lionel Smith; daughters, Jessie (Penny Martin) Nevers, Mary Susan (Chris) Jones, Pamela (Steven) Pride, Joni (Francis) Lewis and Sharon (Phillip) Jones; 33 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Lizzie (Herbert) Guidry; brothers, Isaac (Ernestine), Rev. Saul (Lillian) and Otis (Yvonne) Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Matt and Mary Jasper Thomas; sister, Elise Thomas Nevers; and seven brothers, Wilton, Matt Jr., Herbert, Jeff, George, Jasper and Benjamin Thomas.
She is interred at Fort Logan Cemetery.
