Eula “Mae” Verret Verdin, 75, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and Houma, La., died at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010.


She is survived by her companion, John Dean; sons, Joseph Smith, Anthony Jr. (Pam), John (Donnia), Calvin, Richard and Elton (Nina) Verdin; daughters, Catherine (Kenny Tassin) Verdin, Marie (Mike) Gilmer and Edna Verdin Tassin; brothers, Edward and Lawrence Verret; sisters, Clara Stahl, Dorris Scott and Francis Boudwin; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is buried at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
