Evelia Marie Dufrene, 91, a native and resident of Galliano, La., was entrusted to God’s loving care at her home Saturday, Oct. 3.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Duet and Kathy Dufrene; four grandchildren, Jessica Danos, Shea Duet, Chad France and Chantel Jackson; and 10 great-grandchildren, Dylan Danos, Mathew Danos, Alex Duet, Carter Duet, Emilee Duet, Paityn Jackson, Chaz France, Whitney France, Lauren France and Zack France.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loney Dufrene; parents, Lezime Duet and Rosina Gisclair Duet; one daughter, Brenda Dufrene; two sisters, Exanna Terrebonne and Lezima Guidry; and four brothers, Edison Duet, David Duet, Morris Duet and Eule Duet.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. Interment will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Golden Meadow, La.
