Evelina ” Ike” Folse Moten, 62, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, February 28.


She is survived by her sons, Ronald Lee Wheaton and Terry Lee Wheaton, both of Raceland; sisters, Victoria Folse, Audrey Folse, Geraldine Folse, Octavia Folse Brown, Shirley Folse, Barbara Hester, Cheryl Ann Coleman, Gloria Mae Coleman and Betty Coleman, all of Raceland; brothers, Joseph Folse Sr., Nelson Folse, Clarence Folse and Hilliard Coleman, all of Raceland; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey Moten; parents, Joseph and Mary Folse; sister, Yvonne Folse; and grandparents, Carrie Williams, Ida Folse, Leonard Coleman and Marcelin Folse.

She was Baptist. Her hobbies included fishing.

She was buried at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
