Evelina Henderson Johnson, 86, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Saturday, October 06, 2007.
She is survived by three daughters, Geraldine Toups, Lois Brown, and Kasharon Duncan; three sons, Willie Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Sr., and Tommie Johnson, Sr.; one sister, Elnora Johnson; two brothers, Henry Henderson and Walter Robinson; 29 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Johnson, Sr.; her parents, James and Olevia Henderson; four sons, Solomon Johnson, Jr., Louis Johnson, Sr., Nolen Johnson, Sr., and Lawrence Johnson, Sr.; eight brothers, Lawrence, Louis, Ernest, Richard, Andrew, Wilbert, Harry, and Cleveland Henderson; and three sisters, Louvenia Taylor, Lillie Robinson, and Hazel Arsene.
Evelina was a devout Baptist and a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess Board. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing, and cooking.
Visitation is Friday, October 12, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, with the funeral to follow at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Labadieville, La. She will be buried in the Church Cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
