Evelyn T. Serigny, 78, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Tuesday, February 24, at 1:33 p.m.
She is survived by her son, John Joseph Serigny; daughters, Suzan Marie Serigny, Charlotte S. Mitchell and Jan S. Doucet; brothers Wilson “Buck” Triche; half-brother, Elson Adams; half-sisters, Marie Saia, Josephine Adams and Stella Adams; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Serigny; parents, John Triche and Valerie S. Triche; brothers, John Triche Jr., Charles Triche and William Triche; half-brothers, Edmond Adams Sr. and Lee Adams; and sisters, Jean T. Arceneaux, Beulah T. Savage, Sally Triche and Eula T. Collins.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed crocheting.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
