May 2, 2013Evelyn Whitney Singleton, 71, a native of Westwego, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, April 28, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Singleton Sr.; sons, Terence Sr. and Ernest Jr. Singleton; daughter, Shauna Singleton; brother, Bishop James (Nell) Whitney; sisters, Vera Briggs and Evella Roberson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Aldreana Whitney.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Church of God of Prophecy in Patterson, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Jones)
