Felix J. Grabert, 85, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 9:32 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011.


Mr. Grabert was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of Protector Fire Co. No. 2, the Louisiana State Fireman’s Association, VFW, and the American Legion. He lived a full and happy life along with his loving wife and children who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.


He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Grabert; children, Juliet (Tommy) LeBlanc, Karen (Kenny) Ray and Clifford (Lisa), Ricky (Gloria), Chris (Sheila) and Steven (Laura) Grabert; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amelia Lirette and Clifford Grabert; and sisters, Emma Vicknair and Edith Benoit.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 11, and 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel with mass at 1:30 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
