Fleming “Cowboy” Joseph Trosclair Sr., 89, a native of Larose, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died at 12:19 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012.

Mr. Trosclair was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose.


He is survived by his son, Fleming Trosclair Jr.; daughters, Rena (Dean) Bourgeois and Dolores (Richard) Bergeron; brothers, Abel, Mervin, Lloyd and John Trosclair; sisters, Shirley Bonvillian, Lois Smith and Joyce Hebert; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Trosclair; second wife, Odile Trosclair; parents, Philibert Sr. and Ida Trosclair; brothers, Irvin, Philibert Jr. and Freddie Trosclair; sisters, Ledia Allemand, Emily Cheramie and Pearl Bourgeois; and one grandchild.

Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La. (Falgout)
