Florence Reulet Gravois, 98, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010.

Mrs. Gravois was a retired schoolteacher and an excellent cook.


She is survived by sons; Aubrey (Mary Ellen), Dean (Maria) and Eugene (Marie) Gravois; daughter-in-law, Lynn Gravois; daughters, Iris (F.J.) Loup, Linda Chenier, Rosemarie (Allen) Hymel, Rosalie (Carol) Hymel, Aimee (Dr. Denis III) Simon; brothers, Woodrow, John and Louis Reulet; sisters, Bernice Goley, Janice Daigle and Marjorie Granier; 32 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is buried at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery in Vacherie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 905 Canal Blvd., Thibodaux, LA 70301.
