Frances Barras

Frances “Clare” Bergeron Barras, 65, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 11:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007.

A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black, La.

She was survived by two sons, John Barras and wife, Sharon, and Lee Barras and wife Ellen; one daughter, Donna Hymel and husband, Dewayne; two sisters-in-law, Lydia F. Rogers and Beth F. Whitman; and eight grandchildren, Angelle, Elise, Andre’, Jonathon and Rachel Barras and Matthew, Mitchell and Meghan Hymel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dion Barras; her parents, Ashley J. and Frances Mudd Bergeron; and one brother, Michael Bergeron.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
