Frances Savoie Collins, 95, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, March 1, at 4:50 a.m.

She is survived by her son, Philip Collins and wife Bennie; daughter, Susan Serigny and husband John; grandchildren, Trisha Serigny Doucet and husband Joey, and Marsha Serigny; and great-grandchild, Audrey Frances Doucet.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Paurice Collins; parents, Henry and Lolita Chaisson Savoie; brothers, Sidney and Ulysse Savoie; and sisters, Odile Picou, Angele Templet, Edith Savoie, Emelie Collins and Lillian Plaisance.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society. She was the owner/operator of Collins Food and Fee Market.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
