Francis “Buddy Boy” Toups Jr., 53, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, September 16.
He is survived by his parents, Francis and Loretta Toups; three brothers, E.J. Toups and companion Bertha, Daniel Toups and Richard Toups and wife Vera; nine sisters, Barbara Toups, Patricia Duplantis, Wanda Pitre and husband Stevie, Roberta Connelly and husband Robert, Loretta Puckett and husband James, Gail Naquin and husband Evans, Mary Toups and companion Kelvin, Caroline Neil and husband Don, Samantha Delahoussaye and husband Todd; Miss Kitty, his cat; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Trent Michael Toups.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evans J. and Lillian Toups and Robert C. and Lorena Williams; and one nephew, Charles “C.D.” Conelly.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, September 22, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma with a religious service to follow Tuesday. He will be buried at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
