Frank H. “Pancho” Ernst, Jr., 79, a native of McFadden Ranch, Tx., and a resident of Luling, La., died Sunday, May 18, at 4:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy W. Ernst; son, Kevin Ernst and wife Missy; daughters, Darla E. McBroom and husband Randy, and Dana E. Hull and husband George; sister, Dorthy Williams; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank H. and Grace Ernst Sr.; son, Orion Ernst; and sister, Elouise Stanzel.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Union Carbide and the Times Picayune. He enjoyed woodworking and yard work. He was Catholic.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland, La., with a religious service to follow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
