Frank Joseph Domino Sr., 91, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Saturday Aug. 13, 2011.


Mr. Domino and his brother Nunsie founded an auto mechanic shop which developed into Frank’s Motor Company. He served on the city council for 16 years, the Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District for nine years and as director of Guaranty Bank for 25 years. He dedicated 27 years to the foundation board of Lakewood Medical Center (now Teche Regional Hospital) and was president of the east St. Mary Chamber of Commerce. He was a devoted father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather and loyal friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


He is survived by his sons, Donald (Lana), Michael and Frank Jr. (Mitzi) Domino; sister, Lucille Van Dormolen; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Agatha Domino; parents, Biaggio and Lucia Domino; brothers, Lee, Nunsie, Joseph, Vincent and Salvatore Domino; and sisters, Eugenia Grizzaffi, Rose Nagel, Josephine Domino, Maria Johnson and Mamie English.

Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
