Fred W. Louis

Fred W. Louis, 71, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died at Riverlands Community Care Center in Lutcher, La., Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009.

He is survived by daughters, Lynette Louis, Natasha Sterling and Maria Populis; sons, Ladell, Gary and Carmen Louis; brother, Joseph Louis; sisters, Albertine (John) Miller and Rosemary Henry; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Alberta Louis; sister, Melvina Mitchell; and brothers, Clarence, James, Hermon and Alvin Louis.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to funeral time, at Highway Baptist Church in Vacherie. His funeral service will be held at the church beginning at 11 a.m.

He will be buried at the 2nd African Baptist Cemetery in Vacherie.
