Frederick “Lil Shine” Anderson, 49, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Avondale, La., died Friday, Oct. 2.
He is survived by his father, Jacob Anderson of Westwego, La.; two sons, Frederick Banks and Cedrick Banks, both of Houma; three brothers, Michael Anderson and wife Jacqulyn of Westwego, Frederick Payne and wife Patricia of Houma, and the Rev. John F. Payne and wife Barbara of Mobile, Ala.; three sisters, Louise Anderson of Gretna, La., Mary Shelia Blackmon and husband the Rev. Larry of Avondale, and Felecia Richards of Kenner, La.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Sylvan Payne; one brother, Silas Payne Sr.; and grandparents, the Rev. Freddie Sylvan and Mary Sneeze Sylvan, and the Rev. Gus Anderson and Mary (Clemon) Anderson.
He was Baptist.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at New Mount Zion Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery.
Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home of Terrebonne, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
