Gail C. Cheramie, 67, a native of Grand Isle, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Thursday, April 9, at 8:30 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Odeno “Tony” Cheramie Jr.; son, Michael A. Cheramie; daughters, Heidi Melancon and Deeanna Higgins; brothers, Percy and Charles Crosby; sisters, Joan Santiny, Rita LeBouef and Mildred Billiot; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Amy Crosby; brothers, Richard, Norma and Fred Crosby; sisters, Agnes Guidry and Carol Rigaud; and grandson, Shannon Aucoin.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, La., with the funeral mass to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
