Garland C. “Peanut” Dufrene, 73, a native of Bridge City, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.
Mr. Dufrene was a great husband, father, grandfather and an all-around good guy. He enjoyed fishing and was a licensed barber.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Yvonne Dufrene; son, Shawn (Amy) Dufrene; sister, Andrea (Mark) Matranga; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Rita Dufrene.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
