Gary Leon Hindsman, 45, a native of Brownwood, Texas, and resident of Houma, La., died at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
He is survived by his partner, Jeremiah Boudwin; father and stepmother, Marcus and Juanita Hindsman; sister, Vicki Fitzgerald; brothers, Billy and Kevin Hindsman; maternal grandmother, Bernice Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delilah Sue Clifton.
Mr. Hindsman was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Bamburg, Germany, in the 1980s. He graduated as valedictorian from the Hallmark Institute of Technology and Aviation Aeronautics in 1999 as an honors graduate in airframe and powerplant technology. His hobbies included landscaping and his pets.
He is buried in Rogers Cemetery in Bayou Blue.
