Gary Joseph Acosta, 58, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013.
Mr. Acosta was a loving and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He never missed a sports function that any of his family took part in. He enjoyed bringing them fishing and sharing stories. He was passionate about horse and car racing.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debra Acosta; daughters, Amanda (Dean) Smith, Maurita (Mark) Morell and Katie (Nicholas) Rock; parents, Nolan and Viney Acosta; brothers, David (Monica), Ricky (Sonya) and Brent (Julie) Acosta; and eight grandchildren.
Interment is at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
