Sales tax collections keep St. Mary schools in black

September 24, 2010Gaylia Jeandron Simons, 75, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010.
Ms. Simons was director for the Lafourche Council on Aging. She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church and enjoyed writing poetry.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie Simons Jr.; brother, Calvin Jeandron; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27 at Holy Savior Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
