October 19, 2011Gene Douglas Hill Sr., 71, a native of Raleigh, N.C., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.
He is survived by his sons, Gene Jr., Ronnie and Wister Hill; and sisters, Greta Burriss and Brenda Hill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hill; parents, Wister and Susie Hill; and brother, W.G. Hill.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at Samart Funeral Home in Houma with services at 7 p.m. (Samart)
