George Falgout, Jr., 91, a native of Labadieville, La. and a resident of Golden Meadow, La. died Sunday, November 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Duet Falgout; one son, Wayne Falgout; two daughters, Joan Cheramie and her husband Daniel and Sylvia Dufrene and her husband Kevin; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Falgout; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lena Bergeron Falgout, Sr.; one son, Dennis Falgout; one son-in-law, Norman Griffin, Jr.; and one brother, Irvin Falgout.

George was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a welder, cut grass, and repaired lawn mower engines. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
