Gerald Boquet

Gerald “Jerry” James Boquet, 44, a native and resident of Bourg, La., died of brain cancer on Friday, May 18, 2007.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church Community Center in Bourg. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Verdin Boquet; his mother, Neva Deroche Boquet; two sons, Cody and Chris Boquet; two daughters, Crystal and Courtney Boquet; six brothers, Harold Boquet, Earl Boquet and Daniel Boquet, all of Bourg, LeRoy Boquet of Schriever, La., Richard Boquet of Carencro, La. and James Boquet of Houma, La.; and eight sisters, Gloria Romero, Dorothy Matherne, Joan Harp and Karen Fonseca, all of Bourg, Evelyn Matherne, Geraldine Bedell, Lynell Harp of Houma and Barbara Noel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alcee Nick Boquet.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
