Gerald Paul Hite, Sr., 69, a native and resident of Houma, La. died Friday, June 1, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Matthews Hite; mothers, Elsie Davis and Fern Hite; three sons, Gerald, Jr., John and his wife Alicia, and Jonathon Hite; three daughters, Rebecca, Tam, and Alyssa Hite; one sister Dinez Hite; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hite and Jennie Myles; grandparents Alexander and Emma Hite, Rebecca Davis, and Allen Myles.
Gerald was a devout Baptist and a former Detective and Private Investgator.
Visitation is Friday, June 8, 2007 from 5pm until 7pm at Community Funeral Home in Houma, with the funeral Saturday June 9, 2007 at 11:00am at Greater Salem Baptist Church.
He will be buried at Southdown Cemetery in Houma.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
