October 11, 2011Gerald Scott Rochel, 70, a native and resident of Gibson, La., died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Rochel; children, Ricky and Jeff Rochel and Alicia (Timothy) Sharpe; brother, Johnny (Diane) Rochel; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Enel Rochel; brother, Bern Rochel; and sister, Margaret Rochel.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Samart Funeral Home in Houma with services to follow. Burial will be at Gibson Methodist Cemetery. (Samart)
