Gertie Richard Delaune, 90, a native of Labadieville, La. and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2007.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Roy “Joe” Delaune; one daughter, Jo Ann Faslund and husband, John Faslund; two sisters, Noemie Moore and Genora “Jane” Landry and husband, Elliot Landry; two sisters-in-law, Emelda Richard and Marie Richard; two grandchildren, Dionne Faslund Smith and husband, Brian, and Brent Anthony Faslund and fiancee, Michele Naquin; two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Brittany Faslund; and two special loved ones, Alexis Kraemer and Austin Naquin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hector and Justilia Thibodeaux Richard; two brothers, Abbie Richard and Gilbert Richard; one great-grandson, Blaine Michael Faslund; and one brother-in-law, Bill Moore and wife, Noemie.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
