Gertrude Bruce Cheramie, 88, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died at 11:34 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012.
Mrs. Cheramie was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Lola (Thomas Jr.) Crochet; brother, Rolly Bruce; sisters, Mary Ditta, Emma Plaisance and Emelda Adams; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Cheramie; companion, Weber Callais; parents, Casimir and Vivian Bruce; son, Michael Cheramie; sisters, Mabel Magallanes and Eula Mansuy; and one great-grandchild.
Burial was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
