July 6, 2010Gillis J. Rogers, 80, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Phyllis) and Chris (Roxanne) Rogers; daughter, Claudette (Al) Pitre; brother, Early Rogers; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Enola Crochet Rogers; parents, Anidos Rogers and Victoria Fonseca LeBlanc; one daughter, Cynthia R. Trosclair; and three sisters, Odile R. Trosclair, Pearl R. Dufrene and Myrtle R. Guidry.
He is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
