Gladys Guidry Dover, 88, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Dularge, La., died Saturday, December 27.
She is survived by her sisters, Edna Guidry Duplesis and Ruby Guidry Hotard; grandchildren, Jimmy Dover and wife Jenny and Bobby Dover and wife Eileen; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kendall, Amaya and Gracen Dover.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, James Dover; parents, Armand Guidry and Nettie Bourgeois Guidry; son, Robert Dover; sisters, Effie Fields, Edith Naquin, Pearl Benoit, Verna LaJaunie and Nettie Guidry; and brothers, James Guidry and Calvin Guidry.
She was a retired school teacher with Terrebonne Parish. She was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church and a member of the St. Eloi Ladies Altar Society.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday December 30, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday December 31, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
