Gladys Thibodeaux Hebert, 72, a native of Bayou Folse, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, April 25, at 9:40 a.m.
She is survived by her son Ray Hebert Jr. and wife Bernadette Martin Hebert, of Houma; daughters, Pamela H. Roberts and husband James D. Roberts of Houma, Judy H. Carroll and husband Jeremiah Carroll of Harahan, La., and Ronnie Mary Bienvenu and companion Norvin Kraemer of Schriever, La.; brothers, Charles “C.J.” Thibodeaux and Wilbert Thibodeaux; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Hebert Sr.; her parents, Lucille Pertuit Thibodeaux and Louis Thibodeaux; her daughter, Connie Mary Hebert; brothers, Milton Thibodeaux and Murphy Thibodeaux; sisters, Velma Dufrene and Mildred Parks; and her dog Salita, her companion of many years.
She was a loving and giving mother. She took anyone in that was down on his or her luck.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
