Glenn “Ed” Jackson, 79, a native of Eagle City, Okla., and resident of Bayou Vista, La., died at 6:53 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011.

Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Army veteran having served 1947 to 1949. He retired from the Department of Justice in Lewisburg, Pa., Bureau of Prisons as Chief Correctional Supervisor.


He is survived by his wife, Rhetta Jackson; daughter, Edwardene (Lynn) Fees; sons, Michael (Frances) and Patrick Jackson; sister, Alyce Peeples; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Ora Jackson; first wife, Betty Jackson; brothers, James, Raymond, Claude, William Jr. and Donald Jackson; and sister, Dorothy Jackson. (Ibert’s)
