Protection vital for future, locals tell Mabus

Glenn David Lemoine, 60, a native of Eunice, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010.


Mr. Lemoine was very devoted to his Catholic faith. He will always be remembered for his “groovin” music and dance moves. He recently retired as installation and maintenance supervisor serving AT&T/BellSouth for 35 years. His life was centered around his children and grandchildren and having home-cooked Sunday meals with his family.


He is survived by his wife, Ellen Garrett Lemoine; mother, Geraldine ‘Gerry’ Gil Lemoine; sons, Shawn (Stacey), Philip, Patrick and Mark Lemoine; daughters, Denise (James Bailey) Lemoine, Nichole (John) Menard, Amy (Tristan) Perkins, Marie “Bernadette,” Kristen “Bubba,” Felicia and Rachel Lemoine; brothers, James Sr. “Jimmy” and Michael Sr. “Mike” Lemoine; sisters, Carolyn “Sue” Arnold, Deborah Zorn and Pamela Duplantis; 15 grandchildren, Brandon, Brett, Benjamin, Grace, Maggie and Bryce Lemoine, Lorin, Kaitlyn and Gavin Baudoin, Carson Fontenot, Clay and Mallory Menard, and Reid, Alyssa and Austin Perkins; and 34 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elson “E.J.” Lemoine Jr.; paternal grandparents, Elson Lemoine Sr. and Euna Campbell Garner; maternal grandparents, Willie and Mary Lou Gil; and one nephew, John Zorn.

He is buried at Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery.
