Gloria Dean Hankton Hughes, 67, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Friday, June 10, 2011.
Mrs. Hughes was Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Hughes; son, Jermaine Hughes; brothers, Hubert, Nolan, Earl, Weldon, Vincent and Leonard Hankton; sisters Shirley Robinson, Ledora Hankton and Ernestine Lopez; and grandson, Jaden Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Hughes; brother, Joseph Hankton Jr.; and parents, Joseph and Irma Hankton Sr.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Kennedy)
