December 7, 2009Golden J. Dufrene, 66, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at 5:31 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanelle Esponge Dufrene; father, Norab Dufrene; son, Scott A. Dufrene; daughter, Jamie (John) Wagnon; brother, Leroy Dufrene; sisters, Sue Cheramie, Cynthia Duet and Debbie Gisclair; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Loridia Callais Dufrene.
Mr. Dufrene was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of St. Joseph Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus.
Visitation is set for Friday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 8 to 10:45 a.m., at Falgout Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.
He will be buried at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
