Gordon “Bubba” Dove Jr., 23, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, March 29.
He is survived by his mother, Christine Bergeron; father, Gordon E. Dove Sr.; stepmother, Mona Dove; sisters, Rachael Ramirez, Angelle’ Marciante, Jackie Dove and Noelle’ Dove; stepsister, Katie Himel; stepbrothers, Drake and Jake Himel; nieces, McKenzie Marciante, Gabrielle Ramirez and Ava Van Alts; nephews, Tyler Rogers, Cameron Himel and Ashton Himel; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bergeron; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dove Sr.
He was the president of Blue Marlin Oilfield and Equipment Rentals, Inc. and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a member of the Coastal Conservation Association, Hercules Carnival Club and Houmas Carnival Club. He was an avid fisherman.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday March 31, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
