Gordon Emile Koenig, 63, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 6:15 a.m.
He is survived by three sons, Jeremy Koenig and wife Dolores, Blane Koenig and wife Amy, and Dustin Koenig; two daughters, Tami Tate and Angel Guillory; one brother, Mark Sowers; one sister, Kay McNeal; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Koenig and his wife; and mother, Era Mae Johnson Sowers and her husband.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
